👨💻 Role Overview: Quality Engineer – Java, Cypress
As a Quality Engineer at Optum, you’ll be part of the technology team ensuring delivery of high-quality applications, services, and code using automation and quality engineering best practices.
🔧 Primary Responsibilities
Lead and execute automation testing for APIs and UIs using Java, Cypress, JUnit, etc.
Participate in end-to-end software development and quality engineering lifecycle.
Work with DevOps tools for CI/CD including Jenkins, Docker, GitHub, and Sonar.
Ensure application scalability and performance by working with tools like JMeter and Gatling.
Collaborate in Agile environments (SCRUM/KANBAN).
Contribute to building scalable and secure healthcare tech solutions on AWS and containerized platforms.
✅ Required Qualifications
B.E. in Computer Engineering or related field from a reputed institute.
3+ years of experience in automation testing roles.
1+ years of hands-on experience with API and UI automation frameworks.
Strong programming knowledge in Core Java.
Experience with Cypress, Selenium, and API testing tools.
Familiar with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kubernetes, and AWS Lambda.
Exposure to NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
Familiarity with containerization and microservices.
